It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol B. Kleinheksel (Sturgis, South Dakota), who passed away on January 26, 2026, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Madsen and Mary Madsen (Meoska); her brother Richard "Dick" Madsen; her stepmother Lossie; her husband Roy Kleinheksel; her daughter-in-law Melody; and her grandson-in-law Michael Thompson.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Kleinheksel of Rapid City, David Kleinheksel (Michele) of Belle Fourche, Debbie Sargent (Terry) of Lead and Barbara Meverden (Brian Baier) of Lead; her sister-in-law Billie Madsen of Plankinton; her grandchildren, Trenton Kleinheksel, Nicole Jensen (Bryan), Cory Kleinheksel (Eun), Brandy Helms (Jory), Jeremy Sargent (Kristi), Jason Sargent and Joshua Meverden (Kayla); and her great grandchildren, Nakayla Kleinheksel, Rea Kleinheksel, Jameson Helms, Parker Helms, Brody Sargent, Wyatt Sargent, Connor Sargent, Jaxon Sargent, Jax Volk and Oaklyn Meverden.
