Carol K. Smythe Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 12, 2025, at the age of 81, Carol K. Smythe of Sturgis, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Hermanson and Tillie Hermanson (Knutson); and her brother Eugene. She is survived by: her former husbands, Leroy Voegeli and John Smythe; her children, Greg Voegeli (Gayle), Kim Smiley (Rob) and Marty Smythe; her grandchildren, Jami Klingenberg (Jason), Kristin Smiley, Blake Smiley (Sami), Olaf Funell (Macy) and Gus Funell; and her sister-in-law Norma Hermanson.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel (1235 Junction Ave, Sturgis, SD 57785). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, November 17th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Bear Butte Cemetery (201 Sherman St, Sturgis, SD 57785).
