It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward J. Pickar of Sturgis, South Dakota, born in New Hampton, Iowa, who passed away on December 14, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Pickar and Joanne Pickar (Rausch); his siblings, Duane Pickar, Kevin Pickar and Joan Garrett; and his in-laws, William and Wilma Prien.
He is survived by: his wife Ranae Pickar; his sons, Eric J. Pickar (Jessica), Brent A. Pickar (Suzette) and Jeremy E. Pickar (Jessica); his grandchildren, Mason, Austin, Leah, Harper and Ryder; his siblings, David Pickar (Ruth), Audrey Miller (Bill), Deb Wolf (Keith), Norma Leach, Judy Schott (Troy) and Julie Moravek (Ron); and his siblings-in-law, Marlys Berst (Tom) and Willard Prien (Tami). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or Western Dakota Antique Club.
