She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin "Pete" Dolly and Lois Dolly; her son Chad Emmett; her granddaughter Willow Song Switzer; and her brother Richard Dolly.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Carstensen; her children, Beka Zerbst (Richard), Mark Carstensen (Heidi) and Sara Craig (Scott); her siblings, Ray Dolly (Essie) and Sandi Smith (Roger); and her grandchildren, Katie, Gabe, Serena (Jazz), Bae, Iris, Carson, Rowan, Remy and Ronin.
In lieu of flowers memorials have been established to the Sturgis Public Library and Sturgis United Methodist Church.
