She is survived by: her husband Ronald Ackerson; her daughters, Ruth Haugan and Mary Anderson (Alan); her son-in-law Jubal Pillen; and her grandsons, Haakon Anderson, Henry Anderson and Holden Anderson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Helen's honor to Rainbow Bible Ranch, a summer camp in Sturgis, SD, dedicated to teaching horsemanship and Christian values.
