He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bud" Van Pelt and Eleanor "Bobby" Van Pelt-Gill; and his brother Joseph Rainman. He is survived by: his brother Michael Van Pelt; and his daughter Jennifer Jones (Carl). He is also survived by his four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Saint Anthony's Catholic Church (317 W 7th St, Laurel, MT 59044). A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Black Hills National Cemetery (20901 Pleasant Valley Dr, Sturgis, SD 57785-8947).
