He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Johnson and Nedra Johnson; and his grandfather Ron. He is survived by: his siblings, Valeria and Floyd; his children, Kimberly Jean, Kendra and Zane; his wife Beverly Knabach; his son Dean (Becky); his grandchildren, Shelby Meyer (Nolan), Tabitha Schulte (Levi), Kimberly, Kendra Johnson and Zane Johnson; and his daughters, Lilly, Bodhi and Gwen Meyer.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Kinkade Funeral Chapel (1235 Junction Ave, Sturgis, SD 57785). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Black Hills National Cemetery (20901 Pleasant Valley Dr, Sturgis, SD 57785).
