With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Steven Allen Michalson of Sturgis, South Dakota, who passed away on September 15, 2025 at the age of 72. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Michalson and Victoria Michalson (Amiot); his stepfather Jerry Hermes; his brothers, Greg Hermes and Thomas Michalson; his sister-in-law Carol Jackson; and his in-laws, Kenneth Hillyer (Claudia), Margaret Hicks (Bob), Hoyt Hillyer and James Hillyer.
He is survived by: his wife Delores Michalson; his children, Samantha Smith (Matthew) and Jacob Michalson (Ashley); his grandchildren, Amy Goodrich, James Goodrich, Kenleigh Michalson, Axel Heidrich, Hudson Michalson and Anja Smith; his sister Thana Prochko (Russ); and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Hermes, Susan Ester (Jack), Shirley Trickle (David), Katherine Tysdahl (Keith), Marty Dahl (Stuart) and William Hillyer. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and cherished family friends.
