She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Matthews and Jenny Matthews; her husband Samuel Johnson; her daughters, Carole Auer (June) and Pam Harman; her stepdaughters, Ione Ferguson and Nadine Meyer; her siblings, Joe Matthews, Jim Matthews, Jerry Matthews, Jean Liddeke, Edith Hanten, Laura Flowers and Kitty Wittenhagen; and her grandchildren, Cody Cooper and Tige Cooper.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sonja Nonnast (Eugene) of Whitewood, SD and Roxanne Cooper (William) of Whitewood, SD; and her siblings, John Matthews (Monica) of Beeville, TX and Dottie Degen of Mitchell, SD. She is also survived by nieces and nephews: 17 grandchildren: 28 great-grandchildren: 17 great-great-grandchildren: 3 great-great-great grandchildren.
