It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Slama of Tabor, South Dakota, who passed away on July 9, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Hejna and Helen Hejna (Kralicek); her husband Laddie; her in-laws, Rose and Adolph Slama; and her brothers, Emil Jr. Hejna (Lila), Steve Hejna (Donna), Larry Hejna, Kenneth Hejna (Agnes), Lloyd Hejna and Clarence Hejna.
She is survived by: her children, John (Margie), Shirley Herrboldt, Patricia Dougherty, Diane Cordaro and Michael Slama (Sandy); her grandchildren, Bob Slama, Stacey Schulz, Kristi Flemming, Chad Herrboldt, Nick Herrboldt, Catherine Davis, Jamie Worrall, Kelsey Schmidt, Jackson Worrall, Ashley Mickiewicz, Mallory Slama, Laura Schoenwald and Joey Slama; her brother Robert "Bob" Hejna (Kathy); and her sister-in-law Marilyn Hejna. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Calendar St Wenceslaus Catholic Church (205 N Lidice St, Tabor, SD 57063). A rosary was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 1:15 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at the Calendar St Wenceslaus Catholic Cemetery (205 N Lidice St, Tabor, SD 57063).
