He was predeceased by: his parents, Bertha E. Hanneld (Doering) and Alven A. Hanneld; his son Daniel John Hanneld; his brother Victor Hanneld; his sister-in-law Nancy Hanneld; his nephews, Kevin Hanneld and John Lacy; his mother-in-law Darlene Muller; and his brother-in-law Don Muller.
He is survived by: his wife Sue; his sister Marion Hanneld of Omaha, NE; his nieces, Kathy Saunders (Steve) and Vickie Lacy; his adoptive parents, Mary, Roger Froendt, Ethan, Emily and Evan Froendt of Tea, SD.; Sandy Hanneld of Oklahoma.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home (4800 S Minnesota Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57108). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (2300 S West Ave, Sioux Falls, SD 57105).
