He was predeceased by : his parents, Lidia Schott (Moser) and Jacob Schott; and his siblings, Reinhold, Eileen, Ruben and Russell.

He is survived by : his children, McLaughlin S. D. and Ranch; his siblings, Arnold (Bonnie), Jim (Priscilla) of McLaughlin, S. D., Wallace (Sue) of Rapid City, S. D. and Dianne of Sturgis, S. D.; and his daughters, Debra McAdams (Jeff) of Kalispell, M. T., Dallas Schott of McLaughlin, S. D. and Joyce Mulloy (Jim) of Timber Lake, S. D.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and countless friends.
