It is with sadness that the passing of Chris Dutt of Tolstoy, South Dakota is shared. Chris, born on April 19, 1952, passed away on August 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Dutt (Amsden) and Otto Dutt. He is survived by: his siblings, Nancy Trefz of Onaka, SD, Susan Dutt of Tolstoy, Scott Dutt (Shizue) of Winner, SD and Charlie; his brother-in-law Larry Trefz; his brother Peter; and his great-nephews, Marshall Johnson, Noah Johnson of Miller, SD, Carter Trefz of Menoken, ND, Morgan Trefz of Wecota, SD, Isaac Trefz of Jamestown, ND and Samuel Trefz of Onaka. He is also survived by four nephews; one niece; and numerous great nephews and nieces.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Lien Funeral Home (3082 2nd Ave, Bowdle, SD 57428). Visitation was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the same location. A prayer was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the same location.
