We announce the death of Arvid Boerger of Twin Brooks, South Dakota, who passed away on October 16, 2026, at the age of 93. Arvid will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin "Ben" Boerger and Elsie Boerger (Trapp); his wife Elvina Folk; and his siblings, Eileen Swedburg, Shirley Hansen, Daryl and Milo Boerger.
He is survived by: his brother Brooks Café; his daughters, Gail Green of Chokio, MN, Susan Anderson (Scott) of Milbank, SD, Rita Dunnihoo (Gregg) of Milbank, SD and Sharon Cummins (Jim) of Milbank, SD; and his grandchildren, Matt Green, Sarah Paine (William), Sara Adams (Jon), Joshua Anderson (Sara), Christopher Anderson (Tonya), Jordan Anderson (April), Amanda Walters (Chris), Ryan Dunnihoo (Miranda), Kevin Dunnihoo (Nicole), Britney Cummins (Casey Brusseau) and Jessica Thomas (Dustin).
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mundwiler Funeral Home (1003 E 4th Ave, Milbank, SD 57252). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Milbank City Cemetery (514 Flynn Dr, Milbank, SD 57252).
