We announce the death of Kathryn Owens (Tyndall, South Dakota), who passed away on June 28, 2026, at the age of 96. Kathryn will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Morris Miller and Edith Miller (Grimes); her husband Gene Owens; her sister Shirley; her siblings-in-law, Bill Lorenz, Donald Syverson, Rich Breunig and Peggy Miller; and her granddaughter Kristen Marie Medeck.
She is survived by: her daughters, Elizabeth Ann Ludens (Douglas) of Scottsdale, AZ and Mary Catherine Medeck (James) of Colorado Springs, CO; her siblings, Maureen Bruenig of Wahoo, NE and Don Miller of Chapman, NE; her grandchildren, Sister Mary Bethel and James Ryan Medeck (Kindra) of Colorado Springs; and her great grandchildren, Phoebe Grace, Abigail Reese and Madalyn Sophia. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
