With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marlene Zieser Blackburn of Tyndall, South Dakota, born in Alcester, South Dakota, who passed away on July 22, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Stanley Anderson and Gladys Anderson (Miller); her former life partner R. James "Jim" Zieser; her husband John Blackburn; her sister Mildred Johnson (Robert); her children, Nick Zieser (Jan) of Denver, CO, Lisa Rothschadl (Dan) of Tyndall, SD, Jana Thomas (Chris) of Grand Junction, CO and Mary Kay Ireland (Tom) of Sioux Falls, SD; her grandson Rick Zieser of Cincinnati, OH; her children, Kirk Zieser, London, England, Kiaja Walter (Austin) of Denver, CO, MiKealy Thomas of Chicago, IL, Brielle Thomas of Grand Junction, CO, Andrew Thomas of Grand Junction, CO, Taylor Pfaff of Phoenix, AZ, Blake Pfaff of Sioux Falls, SD and Ally Mack (Alex); and her grandson Graham of Kranzburg, SD.. She was also cherished by her four children, her nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Tyndall Community Foundation, Tyndall Fire Department, or a charity of your choice.
