He is survived by: his parents, Dwaine Groot and Linda De Groot (Huyser) of Rock Valley; his wife Stephanie of Valley Springs; his children, Raiden, Adelyn and Kinnick De Groot of Valley Springs; his siblings, Dawn Galvin of Sarasota, Florida and Dan De Groot of Rock Valley; and his nieces and nephews, Emma Wiersma (Ian), Kleyton De Groot (Emily), Tenley De Groot and Payton Marks.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Rock Valley Fire Department.
