He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Hluchy and Ethel Hluchy (Kulsky); his in-laws, Gerald and Martha Polly; and his brother-in-law Gary Polly.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl (Polly); his sons, Michael Hluchy (Claudean) of Aberdeen and Nicholas Hluchy (Jennifer) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Morgan Hluchy (Thaddius) of Bellevue, Marcus Hluchy (TyAnn) of Pierre, Michael Andrew Hluchy of Aberdeen, Benjamin Hluchy and Christopher Hluchy of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; his sister Ethelann Knight (Jack) of Georgetown, Texas; and his siblings-in-law, David Polly (Maria) of North Pole, Alaska, Beth Bott (Joe) of Sioux Falls and Bonnie Polly of Omaha, Nebraska..
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:30 AM at the Beaver Valley Lutheran Church (26214 484th Ave, Valley Springs, SD 57068).
