With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Edith Nelson (Vermillion, South Dakota), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Edith left this world on July 16, 2025 at the age of 92, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Blair and Edna Blair (Nee Aden); her husband Harlin Nelson; her granddaughter Kara; her in-laws, Nels Nelson and Mary Anderson (Nee Sorenson); and her sisters, Carol Anne (Gary Bye) and Elaine (Lou Bredesky).
She is survived by: her sons, Glenn Nelson (Anita) and Gene Nelson (Diane); and her sisters, Mary Ellen Jensen (Ellis), Dorothy Blair and Helen Walraven (Buster). She is also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Bergen Lutheran Church. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
