He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sloan and Mildred Armstrong; his wife Patricia Thieman Sloan; his children, Paul Raymond Sloan and Lori Jean Sloan; his granddaughter Natascha Sloan; and his siblings, Audrey Nitz, Leonard, Thomas and Jim Sloan.
He is survived by: his children, Kathy Kontz (Mark) of Sioux Falls, SD, Jean Turner, Sherri Becker (Phillip) of Mitchell, SD, Ronald Sloan (Bea) of Germany and Mike Sloan (Casey) of Yankton, SD; and his siblings, Joyce Munson of Norfolk, NE, Dick Sloan of Palmer, AK and Gene Sloan of Colchester, CT.. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
