He was predeceased by: his parents, John Barta and Bernice Barta (Mitchell); his siblings, Leota, Cletus, Don and Eileen; his wife Marjean Waltner; his sister-in-law Lynette Waltner; his granddaughter Angela Kosters; and his niece Barbara Wong.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Barta, Marcia Maltaverne (Mark), Susan Isaacson (Rollie) and Brian Barta (Doni). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
