He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Tisland and Hazel June Marie Tisland (Nelson); his daughter-in-law Mishele; and his siblings, Dawn and Conrad.
He is survived by: his wife Leona Baysinger (Lee); his sons, Mark Tisland (Amy) of Pheonix, AZ, Mike Tisland (Angie) of Huron, SD and Monte Tisland of Tea, SD; his sister-in-law Dorothy Tisland of Kalamazoo, MI; and his stepchildren, Dawn Kopplin of Redfield, SD, Kelly Knippling (Dean) of Mitchell, SD and Jason Aslesen (Daniella) of El Paso, TX. He is also survived by three step-grandsons; five step-granddaughters; many nieces and nephews; and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Sinai Lutheran Church (304 1st St, Sinai, SD 57061). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 1st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
