He was predeceased by: his father Vernon O'Dell; and his brother-in-law Donald Saathoff. He is survived by: his mother Frances O'Dell of Estelline; his siblings, Vernon O'Dell II of Estelline, Brian of Missouri, Karen Filkins (Michael) of Nebraska and Julie Saathoff of Omaha, Nebraska; and his aunts, Carol Hofland (Don) of Clear Lake, SD and Karen Mares of Illinois. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Geise Funeral Home (210 Bell Ave, Estelline, SD 57234-0259). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
