She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Tenning and Genevieve Tenning (Olson); her husband Leland M. Schlimmer; and her sister Patricia Carpenter. She is survived by: her daughter Heidi Henderschiedt (Dale); her grandchildren, Ashley Collins (Michael), Jackson Schlimmer and Hudson Schlimmer; her great grandchild Kayden Collins; and her nephews, William Carpenter and Charles Carpenter of Spring Hill, TN. She is also survived by seven cousins.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church-Volga (623 Kasan Ave, Volga, SD 57071). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the First Lutheran Church (623 Kasan Ave, Volga, SD 57071).
