He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Cordell and Delores Cordell (Schmidt); his siblings, Alfred Cordell, Milton Cordell, Marian Cordell and Marie Shepherd; and his brother-in-law Dale Waba.
He is survived by: his siblings, Theodore "Ted" Cordell of Lake Norden, SD and Teresa Waba of Madison, SD; and his sister-in-law Judy Cordell of Watertown, SD. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews.
