It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl Lindner of Watertown, South Dakota, who passed away on May 24, 2026, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl E. Lindner and Regina Lindner (Jellesma); his former spouse Shirley Lahti; his wife Jane Betleski Reinholz; his daughter Julianna Tackett (James) of Spicewood, Texas; his siblings, Eugene Lindner (Sue McBath) of Centennial, Maurice Lindner (Delores Porter) of Reno, Lloyd Schaeffer (Gwen Schmeling) of Watertown, Joan Drovdal of Sioux Falls and Anne McCullough of Sioux Falls; and his grandsons, Rudy Gall of Seattle and Ryan Garrison of Pinckney, Michigan..
He is survived by: his daughter Juliana; his family, Gail, Jacqueline and Jill; his children, Jeanine Garrison (Monty) of Pinckney, Craig Lindner (Cheryl) of Howell and Kristy Gall (Robby) of Asheville; his stepchildren, Gail O'Farrell of Beverly Hills, Jacqueline Welch (Donald) of Georgetown and Jill Carroll (Stephen) of Livonia, Michigan; and his sister Toni Halverson (Keith). He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Ave Maria Cemeteries and/or the VFW or American Legion of Watertown, SD.
