He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Millie; and his brother-in-law Gene Sloat. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Rebecca Simon, Halley Geist, Kylie Geist, Derek Geist, Jack Lee, Gunner Van Gilder and Jett Van Gilder; his wife Patty Arbach; his children, Terry Simon (Kim) of Aberdeen, SD, Scott Simon (Melissa Van Gilder) of Watertown and Michelle Geist (Allen) of Omaha, NE; and his siblings, Robert Simon (Virginia) of Hoven and Silvia Sloat of Gettysburg, SD. He is also survived by four grandchildren; and three step grandchildren.
