He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Robert and Elaine Harriet Emgarten (Stormo); his brother Alan; and his brother-in-law Ron Jurgens. He is survived by: his siblings, Marilyn "Nicki" Jurgens of Watertown, SD, Robert Emgarten (Mary) of Spirit Lake, IA, Beverly Monson (Ed) of Sioux Falls, SD and Randy Emgarten of Hazen, ND. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
