She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Hoerth and Martha Hoerth (Heckenlaible); her husband Ivan Mathis of Mount Vernon; her brothers, Laverne and Glen Hoerth; her siblings-in-law, Bonnie Hoerth, Pearl Mathis, Mavis Mathis, Frances Mathis, Flo Mathis, Marvin Mathis, Vern Mathis Sr. and Delbert Mathis; and her grandson Bradley Anderson.
She is survived by: her children, Janis Anderson (Kevin) of Sturgis, SD, Jim Mathis of Mount Vernon, Jolene Vavra (Doug) of Winner, SD, Jerry Mathis of Beresford, SD, Juliane Lloyd (Jim) of Watertown, SD and Jason Mathis of Sioux Falls, SD. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
