He was predeceased by: his parent Helmer Ness; his wife Stella May Belgarde; his children, Cheryl Ness, Tammy Ness and Jerald Ness; his mother Gladys Hagen (Vesey); his stepfather Melvin Hagen; his great grandchild Lukas Boadwine; and his siblings, Vivian Myren and Edward Ness.
He is survived by: his children, Shirley Hjellming of Watertown, SD, Wendy Sakry (Danny) of Waite Park, MN, Brenda Dockendorf (Pete) of Cold Spring, MN and Shelly Lenards (Chuck) of Watertown, SD; his siblings, Marvin Ness (Traci) of Ft. Collins, CO, Dan Ness (Myrna) of Minot, ND, Vanda Faul (Ken) of Max, ND and Verna Johnson of Minot, ND; and his sisters-in-law, Phyllis Allen of Show Low, AZ, Linda Belgarde of San Jose, CA and Martha Ness of Columbus, IN.. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren.
