He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Kriesel and Martha Kriesel (Zantow); his brother Lyle; his sister-in-law Elsie Kriesel; his sister Dorothy; his brother-in-law Calvin Frey; his sister Betty; and his brother-in-law Rolla Stoltenberg.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Kriesel; and his daughters, Renee Kriesel and Karen Kriesel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
