With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gerhard Kriesel (Watertown, South Dakota), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. In the sacred silence of farewell, Gerhard is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Kriesel and Martha Kriesel (Zantow); his brother Lyle; his sister-in-law Elsie Kriesel; his sister Dorothy; his brother-in-law Calvin Frey; his sister Betty; and his brother-in-law Rolla Stoltenberg.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Kriesel; and his daughters, Renee Kriesel and Karen Kriesel. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Crawford - Osthus Funeral Chapel (1311 4th St NE, Watertown, SD 57201). A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St Martin's Lutheran Church (1200 2nd St NE, Watertown, SD 57201).
