With profound sadness, we say goodbye to LaMar Marquardt of Watertown, South Dakota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. LaMar left this world on December 28, 2025 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustave Marquardt and Theresa Marquardt (Ronke); and his siblings, Avanell Jacobson, Lavern Marquardt and Lavonne "Bonnie" Robbins.

He is survived by: his wife Dee Thorson of Watertown; his son Scott Marquardt (Amber) of Montevideo, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Abby Marquardt of Fort Pierre and Annie Marquardt; and his stepsons, Ryan Thorson of Florence, Dan Thorson (Rachelle) and Matt Thorson (Kim) of Watertown. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
