She was predeceased by: her father John Buschenfeld; her husband John Van Dykhorst of Dempster, SD.; her daughters, Joyce Ann and Mary Ann; her grandson Joshua Van Dykhorst; her parent Albena "Bena" Buschenfeld; her siblings, Albertha "Bertha" Weinberg, Melvin, Clarence and Raymond Buschenfeld; and her siblings-in-law, Art Weinberg, Richard Jongeling, Eddie Van Dykhorst, Ed Saathoff, Alice Buschenfeld, Delores Buschenfeld, Evelyn Saathoff, Delores Jongeling and Judy Van Dykhorst.
She is survived by: her children, Gloria Van Dykhorst of Watertown, SD, Don Van Dykhorst (Jo) of Castlewood, SD and Betty Weidler (Don) of Madison, SD; her grandchildren, Michael "Mike" Van Dykhorst of Watertown, SD, Robert "Bob" Van Dykhorst of Brookings, SD, Christina Van Dykhorst of Vermillion, SD and Laura Shannon (Randall); her great grandchildren, Bentley, Nevaeh and Piper of Madison, SD; her grandson David Weidler (Jobi); her great grandchild Kamden of Sioux Falls, SD; and her stepgrandson Keith Harms (Shannon).
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Crawford - Osthus Funeral Chapel (1311 4th St NE, Watertown, SD 57201). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Watertown First United Methodist Church (4 2nd Ave SE, Watertown, SD 57201).
