Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mary Stricherz in Watertown, South Dakota, who passed away at the age of 92, on September 17, 2022. She was predeceased by : her parents, Peter Ries and Bernice Ries (Fehlman); her husband Darrell Stricherz; her children, Tim, Tad, Terry, Trent Stricherz and Darla Gudarian; her sisters, Vivian and Helen Ries; and her brothers-in-law, Dick Thyen, Vernon Krauth and Jimmy Hopgood.

She is survived by : her children, Paulette Schmeling (Scott) of New Ulm, MN, Tom Stricherz (Donna) of Waverly, LeaAnn Manke (Bob Benson) of Mitchell, SD and Todd Stricherz of Bryan, TX; her children-in-law, Randy Gudarian of Kranzburg, Kathy Minatra of Waverly and Lynelle Stricherz of Ignacio, CO; and her siblings, Mavis Brink (Don) of Watertown, Evelyn Hopgood of Glenn Heights, TX, Janice Flemming (John) of Ankeny, IA, Millie Krauth of Breckinridge, MN, Bobbi Wolford (Roger) of Fort Mohave, AZ, John Ries (Bev) of Grove, OK and Bonnie Unzen (Ray) of Savage, MN. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandson.
