She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Johnson and Aretta Johnson; her grandparents, Ed and Jenny Shuhart; her brother David Johnson; and her sister-in-law Marilyn Johnson.
She is survived by: her sister Lynda; her brother-in-law Darryl Biers; her nieces and nephews, Shannon Amiotte and Darcy Fierro; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Terry Kucera, Pam Choal, Lori Choal, Curt Johnson and Bryce Johnson. She is also survived by great-great nieces and nephews, extended family, former students, and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Crawford - Osthus Funeral Chapel (1311 4th St NE, Watertown, SD 57201).
For her contributions to education, Pat was recognized for Exemplary Curriculum Leadership, received the Outstanding Area Educator Award, and was the recipient of the National Technology Educator of the Year Distinguished Achievement Award and was received the Pioneer Award for "Making it Happen" in Technology.
