He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Jacob and Amanda Beckmann (Hermann); his wife Marie (Czech); and his sisters, Velma, Mylda and Shyrlee.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Beckman (Lisa) and Liz Skjervem (Loren); his grandchildren, Tim Beckman (Aleks), Sabre Davis (Chad) and Amber Skjervem; and his great grandchildren, Grayson and Emilia.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church (1630 Rushmore St, Rapid City, SD 57702). A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Black Hills National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations will be made to the Veterans community and Hospice of the Hills.
