He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Jacobson and Barbara Jacobson (Johnson). He is survived by: his siblings, Tim Jacobson of Webster, SD, Susan Rieb (Mark) of Watertown, SD, Kari Valsvig (Doug) of Webster, SD and Ann Hakes (Scott) of Ashville, NC; and his nephew Chris Rieb. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
