She was predeceased by : her parents, John Baker and Isabelle Baker (Taylor) of Old Town, Maine.; her husband James Algard (Jim); her daughter Carol Jean Algard; and her siblings, Helen Varney, Marion Carrier, Lillian Kafka, Rita Jalonskey, Mary Blair, John Baker (Buster), Patrick Baker, Thomas Baker (Richard), Charles Baker and Joseph Baker.

She is survived by : her daughters, JoAnn Rasmussen and Julie Block (Doug) of Watertown, SD; her grandchildren, Kathi Brandt (Travis) of Sartell, MN, Kristi Fehr (Mitch) of Rogers, AR, Shawn Rasmussen of Watertown, SD, Jennifer Jones, Maria Block of Spring, TX and Jon Block (Bryttni Kasuske) of Watertown, SD; her great grandchildren, Sam, Ben Brandt, Frances, Delaney and Micah Fehr; and her siblings, Rose Bishop, Leona Gagnier, Ruth Grindle, Joan Knuti and David Baker.

She was an avid quilter, providing quilts for her family and friends, as well as donating lap blankets to nursing care facilities and newborns.
