He was predeceased by : his parents, William Mickey and Mary Mickey; his wife Dianne Mickey; his sisters, Bernadette Chandler-Smuda and Virginia Doran; his stepson Mark Gilland; and his granddaughter Halee Mickey.

He is survived by : his children, Cynthia Wadsworth (Rick) of Hayti, Thomas C. Mickey (Teresa) of Middleburg, William Mickey of Milton, Steven Mickey of Watertown and Alan Mickey of Sioux Falls; and his sisters, Ruthann Krepel of Queen City, Jane Nash (Tom) of Phoenix and Bernadine Bolen (Dave) of Orange Vale, California. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 21st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Crawford-Osthus Funeral Chapel (1311 4th St NE, Watertown, SD 57201).
