We are sad to announce that on May 23, 2025, at the age of 67, Barry Hillestad of Waubay, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clark Hillestad and Alvina "Dolly" Hillestad (Hammond); and his former wife Rita Anna. He is survived by: his wife Norma Jean Fagin; his sister Dorothy Merchant; his children, Jennifer Allison-Myers (Eddie), Jonathan Hillestad (Danica) and Skye Strandberg (Carver); his grandchildren, Micah Allison, Lily Myers, Anaka Myers, Joseph Hillestad and Vera Strandberg; his nephew Dan Merchant (Amy); his niece Tracy Bezesky; his close friend Dawn Kim Van Hoepen; his sister Wanda Hillestad; his former wife Rita Hillestad (Anna); his brother-in-law Dennis Merchant; his nephew-in-law Dave Bezesky; and also Bob Wright.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Webster Armory (100 W 11th Ave, Webster, SD 57274).
