It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marvin Mathiason of Webster, South Dakota, who passed away on July 1, 2025, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry and Bertha; his brothers, Harvey and Kenneth; his daughter-in-law Rhonda Mathiason; and his granddaughter Amanda Rasmussen.
He is survived by: his wife Clarice Stave of Pierpont; his children, Marianne Helgeson (Lonnie), EuDale (Jodi), Jay (Deb) and Delray; and his brother EuGene. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Viewing was held on Sunday, July 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Fiksdal Funeral Service (122 W 5th Ave, Webster, SD 57274). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the American Lutheran Church (121 W 7th Ave, Webster, SD 57274).
