She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer August and Hazel Cora Krauter (Davis); her husband Kenneth L. Matthews; and her siblings, Clifford, Maynard, Mildred Labau (Virgil) and Thelma Krauter.
She is survived by: her children, Clifford "Dennis" Matthews of Farmington, MN, Pamela Duxbury of Wessington, Debra Matthews of Sioux Falls and Sandra Bales (Steve) of Huron; her sister Norma "Jean" DeHaven of Wessington; and her sister-in-law Edith Matthews (Lyle) of Harford, CA. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
