With solemn reverence, we commemorate Joyce Zerfoss of Wessington, South Dakota, whose life came to an end on July 13, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Hawley and Grace Hawley (Bussell); and her husband Jerold Zerfoss. She is survived by: her children, Darwin Zerfoss of Wessington and Dawn Bailey (Kenny) of Waynesboro, Virginia; her grandchildren, Brandi Gilbert (Scott) of Hitchcock, Jared Zerfoss (Lacey) of Wessington, Brittney Zerfoss of Huron, Bailey Zerfoss of Huron, Lauren Hypes (Dakota) and Zane Bailey; her great grandchildren, Tucker, Jaylee, Harley Gilbert, Jeven and Makenna Zerfoss; her sister Beth Miller; and her in-laws, Lynette Hopkins, Janice Arbogast (Larry), Janelle Zerfoss and Neil Zerfoss (Jackie). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (135 Clare St W, Wessington, SD 57381). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the Wessington Ambulance Service, Watson Krauter Post #110 American Legion of Wessington, American Cancer Society or another charity of your choice.
