She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Naughton and Elizabeth Naughton (Yackley); her husband Marvin; her sister Ann Goldsmith; and her siblings-in-law, James Lewis, James Goldsmith, Wilburn Larson, Gladyce Matthews Larson and Bertha Matthews.
She is survived by: her children, Jean Hohm (Dean), William (Lynn), George (Tracy), Gary (Dionn), Mary Davies (David), Gail Wingert (Jon) and Jennifer Starks (Keith); and her sister Madonna Lewis.
In lieu of flowers, Rita held the Wessington community close to her heart. Memorials may be directed to the Wessington American Legion and Auxiliary, the Wessington Library, the Community Center, the Fire Department, or the EMTs.
