He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald McQueen and Lucille McQueen (Curl); his sister Vaye Jean Markhardt (Jim); his granddaughter Abigail Matlock; his parents-in-law, Harry and Wilma Stange; and his brothers, Bill (Joyce Bowar), Donald "Ducky" Stange, Merle Edwards, Billy Stange, Bobby Stange and Johnny Stange.
He is survived by: his wife Judy (Stange); his children, Julie Dykstra (Marvin "Bones") of Stickney, SD, Bonnie Dowling (Jared) of Murdo, SD, Lance McQueen (Nora) of Sioux Falls, SD and Becky (Shannon Tolsma) of Corsica, SD; his siblings, Marilyn VandenBos (Les) of Sturgis, SD and Randy McQueen (Lenee) of White Lake, SD; his grandchildren, Seth Dykstra, Bailey Anthony (Bailey), Molly, Jake, Sophie, Maggie Dowling, Addison McQueen, Waylon, Jesse McQueen, Presley and Holden Matlock; and his sisters-in-law, Jan Stange, Phyllis Swenson, Lois Edwards, Nancy Stange, Kay Stange and Ann Stange. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a host of friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the White Lake Community Center (111 S Main St, White Lake, SD 57383). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
