It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leslie Otto Auer of Whitewood, South Dakota, who passed away on May 8, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Otto Auer and Inez Hatfield Auer; his former life partner Carole Auer; his father-in-law Sam Johnson; and his nephew Tige Cooper.

He is survived by : his former life partner Carole Ann Johnson; his wife Elaine Auer; his children, Patrick Auer (Robin), Mark Auer, Mike Auer (Donna), Sandy Browner (Gary), Debbie Waldner (Ron), Ryan Albrandt (Jenny) and Natalie Albrandt; his grandchildren, Kim, Brandon, Hanna, Dustin, Allen, Becky, John, Cheyenne, Elizabeth, Andrew and Katie; his mother-in-law Thelma Johnson; and his sisters-in-law, Sonja Nonnast and Roxanna Cooper. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials have been established to Home Instead or Hospice of the Black Hills.
