We bid farewell to Mitchel Anne Fillmore of Whitewood, South Dakota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 2, 2025 at the age of 86. Mitchel Anne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Coy Heaton and Mitchel Heaton (Brown); her husband John Fillmore; her daughter Christy Weber (Bob); her stepgrandson Andrew Frey (AJ); her parents-in-law, Millard and Muriel Fillmore; her sister Jeanne; her brother-in-law Lloyd Chambers; and her son-in-law Tom Johnson.
She is survived by: her brother Coy Heaton (Diane); her daughters, Tracy Fillmore-Frey (Marvin), Cindy Long (Lyle) and Kim O'Connor (Jim); her grandchildren, Amanda Smith (Wade), John Long (Connie), Lyle Long (Darcy), Chad Anderson (Jami), Jake Heidrich (Kristi), Josh Long (Jenn), Jason Anderson (Val), Bobbi Jo Koyama (Robert), Tiffany Skavang, Kelsey Schweiterman (David) and Garrett Weber (Kelsey); and her stepgrandchildren, Jessica Anderson (Nate), James O'Connor, Jr. (Michele), Kristy White (Jim), Sean O'Connor (Michelle), Tara O'Connor, Shanna Martin (Russ), Stephanie Johnson and Scot Johnson. She is also survived by 46 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; an aunt; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial has been established to Whitewood Presbyterian Church and the Whitewood Public Library.
