He is survived by: his children, Cindy, Barb, Brenda and Lee; his wife Karen O'Connor (Heckenlaible); his children, Bertha (Aaron), James (Shelly) and Laura (Cory); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Leo, Owen, Sterling, Syntha and Seyla; his sisters, Barbra (Darel) and Brenda; his aunt Filina (Danny); his stepsiblings, Linda, Carol and Lee (Cathy); and his close friends, John and Dianne Totton.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (302 W 4th St, Winner, SD 57580). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Black Hills National Cemetery (20901 Pleasant Valley Dr, Sturgis, SD 57785).
