Marlys Larsen Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on December 21, 2025, Marlys Larsen of Winner, South Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Marlys shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Marlys farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin Matthes and Lydia Matthes (Mandler); her husband Oscar Larsen; her sister Janet Matthes; her son-in-law Jim Calhoon; and her granddaughter-in-law Candra Calhoon.
She is survived by: her daughter Linda Calhoon of Winner, SD; and her grandchildren, Marie Calhoon of Rapid City, SD, Adam Calhoon and Joanna Calhoon of Mitchell, SD. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; along with five siblings; and numerous nieces; nephews; friends and family.
