It is with sadness that the passing of Merle Ring (Winner, South Dakota) is shared. Merle, born on August 15, 1953, passed away on October 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gus Ring and Erlene Ring (Bertram); his wife Kathy; his parents-in-law, Dale and Betty McIntyre; his brother Don Ring; and his siblings-in-law, Roy Lilly, Don, John, Tevis McIntyre and Betty Ann "Annie" Marts.
He is survived by: his children, Darin Byrnes (Michele) of Lincoln, NE, Lance Ring (Amanda) of York, NE and Stacy Frank (Zach) of Lincoln, NE.; his sisters, Margaret Rupert (Dave) of Lennox, SD, Carol Lilly of Madison, SD and JoAnn Snyder (Zane) of Springview, NE; his sister-in-law Linda Price (Jerry) of Rockford, IL; and his grandchildren, Brooke, Kadence, Sawyer, Hayden, Lane, Ellyanah, Spencer, Emersyn and Madelyn. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Winner Methodist Church (301 W 4th St, Winner, SD 57580). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Colome Cemetery.
